Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in an inpatient hospital setting located in the central region of Michigan's upper peninsula. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to cardiac and stepdown patient populations, including managing telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, chest tubes, and post-surgical patients. The position focuses on teamwork and requires a dedicated healthcare professional to support a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Twelve-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 1 year minimum experience in PCU or stepdown units; location requirements applicable as per travel criteria.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, and cardiac drips; familiarity with PCU or stepdown patient populations; low-level intensive care unit skills.
• Patient Population: Cardiac patients with trauma and stepdown level of care, telemetry monitoring.
• Responsibilities: Managing cardiac patient care, including post-surgical recovery, stroke/TIA treatment, pacemaker management, and vascular conditions.
• Additional Information: Training on telemetry monitoring and electronic health records system (Cerner). Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and adhere to hospital dress code, wearing blue or navy scrubs.
• Schedule: Shift hours are 12-hour nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 09/21/2026 and ending on 12/21/2026.
