We offer a safe and secure program for adult and geriatric patients.Our adult program serves men and women ages 18 and older who are experiencing symptoms that require 24-hour acute inpatient psychiatric treatment and care.Our geriatric program is a short-term acute care unit for patients experiencing symptoms that require close monitoring by a multi-disciplinary team.Patients are seen daily by a psychiatrist as well as other mental health professionals.Our dedicated team of nursing and ancillary staff provides patient-centered care to support the patient s recovery with the goal of reaching optimal patient outcomes.Our team utilizes sensory reduction tools to assist with anger management, coping skills, and de-escalation.Strong focus is placed on improving our patients physical and emotional health.Our team is dedicated to making our patient s experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe and secure environment.Education - Required Associated degree in nursingCertifications Required AHA BLSOR RED CROSS CPILicenses Required Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted) NURSYSExperience - Required: 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of RECENT experience in the field of specialty.
