Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Nurse located in Dubuque, Iowa. This position involves providing care to behavioral health patients in a psychiatric setting. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, de-escalation techniques, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support patient well-being. The shift is scheduled for nights with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift
• Schedule: 36 hours per week with night shifts
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current psych/behavioral health experience, EPIC electronic medical record experience, active Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license, de-escalation certificate (MOAB, MAB, CPI, SAMA) preferred but can be obtained during onboarding.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with geriatric patients, de-escalation certification, CHARGE experience, BLS certification (AHA or ARC/Red Cross).
• Experience: 24 months in psych/behavioral health capacity required; first-time travelers with this experience accepted.
• Holidays: Will be required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day), unless the unit is closed.
• Additional Information:
  • Call back pay at 1.5x with a 2-hour minimum
  • On-call as needed, possible once per pay period
  • Rate: $81
  • Submission must include work history demonstrating 24 months of current psych/behavioral health experience and all required certifications
