Job Title: Psychologist Profession: Psychologist Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required Description: In accordance with training and scope of practice, administer and interpret psychometric tests as part of treatment needs for specific diagnoses, treatment, and psychological interventions. Administer, score, and interpret individual psychological tests or test batteries for purposes of crisis intervention, neuropsychological issues, risk assessment, and severe behavioral management. Participate in hearings as assigned and conduct assessments for potential suicide. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, develop and implement mental health interventions, including psychological, social, and substance abuse strategies for a caseload of individuals with mental illness. Conduct individual and group clinical interventions as prescribed in the individual mental health treatment plan using clinical intervention strategies within their scope of practice. Provide mental health liaison services to an assigned caseload, including monitoring offender compliance with the mental health treatment plan. Complete detailed screens, mental health evaluations, and crisis services within the scope of practice. Write reports and documents to include documentation of all contacts, mental health liaison progress note entries, discharge plans, and miscellaneous forms and reports as needed. Complete psychosocial needs and treatment assessments as part of interdisciplinary treatment planning. Complete transfer and discharge summaries and pre-parole clinical risk assessments and treatment summaries. Consult with other institution staff regarding the mental health caseload, institutional adjustment, and service needs. Attend psychology clinical case consultation meetings. Attend and instruct in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development. Conduct expert-witness assessments as needed. No cell phones permitted until proper paperwork has been submitted and approved. Must clear a metal detector; no cans, tobacco, vapes, etc., permitted. Food must be in clear, see-through containers. No more than 1 gallon of water may be brought into the facility.
