The successful candidate should perform all functions at a pace and level consistent with job performance requirements. Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews. Confer with other clinical staff to gather and provide information concerning patient psychological problems. Ensure treatment activities are well integrated and patient care follow-through occurs. Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and functioning levels. Make regular rounds to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques. Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and interventions for inmates in crisis. Consult with various staff members to gather information and understand the reasons for problem behaviors. US Citizenship required for ICE clearance.
