Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on record reviews and clinical interviews. Work as part of a mental health team, conferring with clinical staff to gather and share information regarding patients' psychological issues. Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on patient evaluations. Make regular rounds to assess patient adjustment and mental health treatment needs. Demonstrate knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques through effective treatment activities. Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and interventions to support inmates in crisis. Consult with various staff members to gather insights on behavioral escalations and changes in mental health conditions.
