Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and a WA state license (if applicable).

Details

• Inpatient acute care therapy at a critical access, rural hospital with 23 staff beds
• Unit: PT Acute Care Hospital
• Day shift, 3x8 hours (8:00 AM-4:00 PM)
• 0.6 FTE position (~24 hours/week), typically Monday-Friday with some flexibility for Tuesday-Friday scheduling
• Patient ratio of 1:5-10
• May float between units based on facility need
• May float to other Providence facilities in Colville and Spokane based on need and therapist ability
• No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• WA state license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Acute care work setting experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and discharge planning for inpatient acute care patients
• Works with patient populations including cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric conditions
• Utilizes adaptive devices, assistive devices, and equipment such as gait belts, walkers, and lifts as part of patient care
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Scrubs of any color are accepted
• No parking fees at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a lower bill rate
• Open to first-time travelers
