Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Petaluma, CA 94954

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Petaluma, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30). Float coverage between inpatient and outpatient settings. May include weekend shifts as the sole therapist on duty. 40-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

• Six-month travel assignment in the beautiful Petaluma area
• Mixed caseload with both inpatient acute care (primarily med-surg/hospitalist referrals) and outpatient physical therapy
• Work with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
• Epic charting system experience required
• Opportunity for professional autonomy with strong time management skills valued

Requirements:

• Active California state Physical Therapy license (Compact license accepted if in hand at submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience; at least 1 year in acute care settings required
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings with adult populations preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
