Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and Epic charting experience for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within the PT Outpatient unit
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday
• Shift times vary between 7:00 AM-5:30 PM and 8:00 AM-6:30 PM
• No weekend shifts or call requirements
• Holiday coverage as needed
• May float across county lines if patient care needs require it
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• May care for COVID-19 patients

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Physical Therapy experience required
• PT License required if applicable (PA or Compact)
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, spinal conditions, and sports injuries
• Experience with neurologic conditions including stroke rehabilitation, TBI, and Parkinson's disease
• Experience with cardiopulmonary conditions including COPD and CHF
• Proficiency with therapeutic modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, TENS, and hydrotherapy
• Experience with adaptive and assistive devices including prosthetics, walkers, and gait belts
• Skilled in documentation including evaluations, plans of care, and progress notes

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of home exercise programs
• Focus on patient and family education, safety, and injury prevention
• Candidates will be pre-screened by clinical staff to determine fit before manager interview
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
