Medlivo is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Bronx, New York.

Minimum 2+ years recent RN experience in Oncology required / CERTIFICATIONS – BLS required (PALS preferred) / LICENSE – Active New York RN License required / Schedule: Days, 37.5 hrs/week, 13 weeks (primarily 8-hour shifts; if 10-hour shifts are used, schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday with Thursday off) / Setting: Acute Care – Ambulatory Radiation Oncology Clinic / EMR: EPIC / Skills: Oncology nursing, patient assessment, chemotherapy/radiation side effect management, symptom management, medication administration, patient and family education, care coordination, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based practice, and accurate clinical documentation required / Preferred Experience: Radiation Oncology and Brachytherapy experience; PALS certification preferred / Patient Population: Adult oncology patients receiving radiation therapy and cancer treatment / Responsibilities: Assess and monitor treatment response, manage radiation-related toxicities, educate patients on treatment plans and symptom management, provide psychosocial support, collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team, and ensure continuity of care / Orientation: Facility orientation provided / Additional: Candidates should possess strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, leadership, and patient advocacy skills, with a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered oncology care throughout the cancer treatment continuum.
