Job Title: Clienttion Therapist Profession: Clienttion Therapist Specialty: Therapeutic Treatment Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: Varies between 8 AM - 7 PM, Monday to Friday Experience: Minimum 2 years in Clienttion Therapy preferred. Must be a graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program. License: ARRT Clienttion Therapy Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent Must-Have: Demonstrates ability to treat/simulate patients. Description: The Staff Clienttion Therapist in the Clienttion Oncology Department applies ionizing radiation to a diverse population of patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Clienttion Oncologist. They must be capable of operating radiation-producing equipment while utilizing radiation safety measures and performing a series of complex and precise technical procedures. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Participates in Quality Control monitoring. Delivers consistent precise therapy to a designated treatment area. Demonstrates skill in patient assessment, performing procedures, and giving specialty care to patients, considering the age of the patient. Documents appropriately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Demonstrates a willingness to perform additional tasks and assists others when necessary. Recognizes personal limitations and seeks assistance as needed. Reports adverse reactions to the physician immediately and follows policy and procedure for documentation. Educates patient/family on expected side effects and the use of treatment aids. Follows policy and procedure to ensure precise treatment per physician and physicist instructions. Understands and completes all patient set-ups correctly. Simulates new patients and/or patients with new treatment fields with no errors and according to written orders in EMR. Schedules patients appropriately and informs them of any changes in advance. Follows proper procedures to ensure safety to self and the patient. Assesses patient mobility and manages accordingly, checking EMR for fall precautions. Wears radiation safety badges at all times. Practices universal precautions. Participates in daily warm-up procedures to ensure output is within tolerances. Advises management of any discrepancies and any materials that need replacement or repair promptly. Performs other tasks as assigned. Participates in on-call rotation. Acts as a student clinical instructor for both Clienttion Therapy and Radiologic Technology students, evaluating and providing feedback to students and clinical advisors. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
