Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements
• Patient ratio of 20 patients per Radiation Therapist
• No floating between units
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
• All RTTs rotate amongst all treatment modalities and equipment, including simulation with contrast orders and motion management orders
• Treat both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Daily census of approximately 45 patients
• Robust program offering brachytherapy, EBRT, SBRT, SRS, and FSRT on Gamma Knife treatment modalities
• Utilize Elekta Mosaiq Record and Verify System with Epic electronic medical record
• Equipment includes Elekta Linear Accelerators (Infinity and VersaHD), Gamma Knife ICON, HDR Flexitron, C-arm fluoroscopy, and GE Discovery CT/Simulator
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Scrub color: Galaxy Blue/Royal Blue
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, and Texas Medical Board (TMB) License
• Required skills include: Adult Outpatient, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Electron Beam Therapy, Elekta Infinity, Elekta Versa HD, External Beam Therapy, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, HexaPOD, IMRT, Pediatric Outpatient, Radiation Safety, and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)

This is a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total staff beds. The facility operates a comprehensive radiation therapy program with several accreditations driving its commitment to quality and safety. The department features a great team environment with excellent providers and supports a wide range of advanced treatment modalities and imaging technologies.
