Job Description

Job Title: Clienttion Therapist Profession: Clienttion Oncology Specialty: Clienttion Therapist Duration: 12 months Shift: Days, Mon-Fri Hours per Shift: 8 am - 4:30 pm Experience: 1-2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred License: State licensed radiation therapist Certifications: ARRT license; CPR certified Must-Have: Truebeam/Aria experience preferred Description: Under general supervision, the Clienttion Therapist performs radiotherapy procedures as prescribed by a physician according to established standards and practices. The therapist provides patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of their license, certification, registration, and/or assessed competencies. Practice adheres to laws and regulations and follows established policies, procedures, and practice guidelines. Education: A minimum of an associate’s degree in radiography with a certification in radiation therapy is required. A bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy is preferred. Graduate of a JRCERT approved school registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Clienttion Therapy. Essential Job Functions: Delivers a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy using radiation therapy equipment. Obtains patient history, answers questions, and explains procedures while observing patient reactions during treatment. Follows established departmental policies and safety standards. Schedules patients for treatments and collaborates with other healthcare professionals. Checks prescription, diagnosis, and patient identification to ensure accurate treatments. Prepares electronic and/or written documentation as required. Prepares the treatment room and equipment for patients and positions patients according to prescribed anatomical positions. Reinforces recommendations from physicians and care providers regarding treatment. Performs verification and port film exposures for treated areas. Enhances professional growth through participation in education programs and workshops. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Physical Capacity Demand: Medium work involving exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently. Job Considerations: Cognitive abilities include communication, prioritizing and time management. Potential exposure to electrical equipment while performing duties. No special environmental considerations or protective equipment requirements.
