Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist position is located in a direct patient care environment within a healthcare organization. This role involves performing prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for treatment planning, operating treatment equipment, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety and quality in all procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, scheduled days may vary; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Must possess an Associate degree in radiation oncology or related field; certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable; BLS certification required; must have 2 years of experience; knowledge of clinical techniques, applications, and equipment relative to radiation therapy; effective communication and human relations skills; safety conscious.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous radiation therapy experience; additional related education or experience.
• Additional Information: Must have skills in operating Varian TrueBeams equipment; must be available for an ASAP start; position involves working during days with shifts often scheduled from 0700 to 1700, including a half-hour lunch; travel experience is preferred but not required.
