Travel Radiation Therapist - $2,900 per week in Alexandria, LA

Job Title: Clienttion Therapist Profession: Rad Therapist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: MRT License in state of employment Certifications: ARRT, BLS from AHA Must-Have: Associate Degree in Clienttion Therapy ARRT certification BLS certification Description: Performs radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances to patients. Operates specialized X-ray equipment as prescribed by the physician. Maintains treatment records and prepares operational reports as required. Maintains, stores, and orders supplies and equipment. Responsible for the performance of all duties relating to the administration of a prescribed course of radiation therapy. Provides quality patient care in relation to the patient's prescribed diagnosis, treatment, age group, development, and other identified needs. Candidates should be able to work with advanced radiation therapy machines. Types of patients and cases include cancer and osteoarthritis. Common procedures include SBRT, IMRT, basic radiation therapy, and some breath-hold treatments. Nurse/patient ratio is two therapists per machine, seeing 15-25 patients each day. Dress code includes olive green pants and black shirts preferred. Weekend and on-call requirements are not applicable. Floating requirements are not applicable.
