Travel Radiation Therapist
Location:Rochester

Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8s | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in Rochester, New York. This role is ideal for a skilled oncology professional who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment while delivering high-quality radiation therapy services to adult acute care patients.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience working with advanced radiation therapy equipment and treatment planning systems.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician treatment plans
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment including Ethos and Varian systems
- Perform patient positioning, tumor localization, and imaging procedures
- Utilize CBCT, kV/mV imaging, and external beam therapy techniques
- Assist with custom molds, shielding, wedges, and compensation filters
- Maintain radiation safety standards and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff
- Document patient care accurately within Epic EMR
- Float to additional Radiation Oncology locations as needed
Requirements
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist Therapy License required
- ARRT(T) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Epic experience required
- Experience with Ethos or Varian equipment preferred
- Strong knowledge of IMRT and external beam radiation therapy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced oncology setting
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
Preferred Clinical Experience
- Adult acute care oncology
- Tumor localization and dose calculation
- Custom molds and shielding
- Radiation safety protocols
- IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy)
- Use of lift/transfer devices and PPE protocols
