Key Responsibilities of the Radiation Therapist

Administer radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the physician
Operate and maintain Varian TrueBeam and IX equipment
Use Aria software for treatment planning and management
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
Collaborate with oncology team to adjust treatment plans as necessary

Requirements of the Radiation Therapist

NY license in hand required
One year of radiation therapy experience
Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Current BCLS certification
Understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
