Job Summary: Radiation Therapist in San Luis Obispo, California. This role involves performing routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with physician-developed treatment plans. The position requires working independently with clinical expertise to ensure safe and precise procedures, maintaining excellent patient communication and safety standards following all regulatory guidelines.
Job Details:
Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Attendance and Radiation Therapy Certification (AARTCRT); valid California State License; at least 0 years of experience in radiation therapy; experience with community hospital settings; familiarity with community hospital patient care settings.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in radiation therapy and simulation procedures; proficiency with charting systems; prior experience in trauma environments or with interdisciplinary support is advantageous.
Additional Information: The role includes operating complex radiation therapy equipment, preparing patients, assisting physicians with procedures, documenting patient information accurately, and ensuring safety standards to minimize radiation exposure. Training and mentoring new staff and students are also part of the responsibilities.
Certifications: Must have valid AHA or ARC certifications.
