Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist position located in Palo Alto, California. This role involves delivering radiation treatments and providing patient simulations according to prescribed treatment plans established by Radiologists and Oncologists. The successful candidate will ensure safety, maintain accurate documentation, and support patient education and care throughout treatment procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Licensed or certified as a Radiation Therapist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and ARRT-RTT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiologic Technologist - Radiation Therapy) and CRT-T (Certified Radiologic Technologist - Therapist) certifications.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures involved in modern radiation therapy equipment, simulation, imaging, and treatment procedures.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and proper patient positioning for treatment delivery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish cooperative working relationships.
  • Demonstrated clinical reasoning skills and ability to lead and train support staff.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for department projects related to safety, training, and quality improvement.
  • Additional Information: The role requires performing safety checks on equipment, calibrating treatment devices, and ensuring quality control standards are met. The position emphasizes maintaining a caring and supportive environment for patients and their families, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and documentation.
