Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer precise radiation treatments to patients using advanced Varian Trilogy systems
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to ensure optimal treatment plans
- Monitor patients during therapy, addressing side effects and providing compassionate care
- Maintain accurate patient records in Cerner and document treatment details
- Operate and perform quality checks on radiation therapy equipment daily
- Educate patients on treatment procedures and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiation Therapist
- California License in Radiation Therapy required
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) required
- BLS certification required
- Recent experience with Varian Trilogy linear accelerator
- Experience with Varian systems: Aria, Eclipse, MS4, Teletracker, Patient Select
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel
- Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of radiation therapy techniques and safety standards
- Skilled in operating Varian Trilogy and associated software
- Proficient in electronic medical records, particularly Cerner
- Excellent attention to detail for treatment accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative oncology team
