Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed and planned courses of radiation therapy using radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established practices and standards.
• Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, and monitor patients for unusual reactions or events during treatment.
• Verify prescriptions, diagnoses, charts, and patient identification to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
• Position patients in prescribed anatomical positions for treatment and prepare rooms and equipment accordingly.
• Prepare and maintain electronic and written documentation including treatment plans, progress reports, and evaluation results.
• Reinforce physician, dietician, and care provider recommendations to patients regarding treatment reactions, irradiated area care, and side effect management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Radiography with a certification in Radiation Therapy; Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved program registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• Active State of Ohio Radiation Therapist license (preferred upon submission).
• Current ARRT license and CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience.
• Experience with TrueBeam and Aria systems strongly preferred.
