Shift Details:
- Monday to Friday. 8-hour shifts. They start as early as 6a and are open till 5-6p. Asking for candidates that can work within those times and have agencies enter shift preference on sub form.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 2 years with experience in Radiation Therapy, Proton and/or CT/SIMS a plus.
- Training-will be paired with experienced Rad Tech and training on 1 machine
- A valid and current license issued by the state of PA
- A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients.
- Cert - Radiation Therpay certification and ARRT required
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
- Position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment
- Monitor patients during treatment sessions
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions
- Ensure accurate treatment delivery and patient safety
- Maintain and check radiation therapy machines
- Record treatment details and update patient records
- Observe patients for side effects and report concerns
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
