Job Description
Radiation Therapist responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments in a fast-paced oncology environment while ensuring patient safety, treatment accuracy, and adherence to radiation safety standards. The therapist will support treatment planning, patient positioning, imaging procedures, and radiation delivery for adult oncology patients.
The role requires experience with advanced radiation therapy techniques including IMRT, external beam therapy, tumor localization, and treatment setup procedures. The therapist must be adaptable, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
Mandatory Skills / Experience
Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience required
Adult Acute Care experience REQUIRED
Experience with External Beam Therapy required
Experience with IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) required
Experience with tumor localization required
Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging required
Experience with custom molds and custom shields required
Experience with block cutting and compensation filters required
Experience calculating radiation dose required
Experience with radiation safety procedures required
Experience using lift/transfer devices required
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE required
Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams required
Epic charting experience REQUIRED
Experience with Ethos or Varian equipment preferred
Experience with Eclipse (Varian) or Pinnacle (Philips) treatment planning systems preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
