Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist II to support fluoroscopy and ultrasound-guided pain procedures with at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Assigned to the Pain Center supporting Pain Faculty with Fluoroscopy and Ultrasound-Guided procedures
• May provide coverage in alternate radiography locations or other Mass General Brigham sites based on operational needs, with appropriate training
• Operates fluoroscopic, portable, diagnostic, and related imaging equipment
• Uses Epic for charting
• Shift schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 16-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT certification required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Proficiency operating radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable imaging equipment
• Familiarity with PACS image transmission and quality review
• Ability to accurately document exams and patient information in EMR systems

Additional Information

• Confirm patient identity and exam details through interview, history review, and medical record verification
• Explain imaging exams and procedures to patients while considering physical, emotional, cultural, and language needs
• Position patients and adjust equipment settings appropriately for each exam
• Apply radiation safety principles including ALARA and proper shielding practices
• Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness prior to PACS transmission
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other technologists to support workflow and patient care
• Respond appropriately to emergency, infection control, and patient safety situations
• Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of the facility, with adjusted pay rate
