Job Title: Registered Radiologic Technologist Profession: Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: State Radiology Tech License Certifications: ARRT(R), BLS Must-Have: Epic experience Description: The Registered Radiologic Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images. This role meets or exceeds department, organizational, and industry standards. The technologist demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as image quality. Professional knowledge is applied to prepare patients for procedures, educate them, and respond to questions or concerns. An age-appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education, and principles of physical and functional growth and development is ensured. The technologist demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning and imaging techniques. Clienttion safety, imaging equipment operation, infection control, and quality control techniques are also key responsibilities. Clienttion safety techniques and devices are applied to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Professional knowledge is applied to assess and prepare patients for procedures and to educate them. The technologist oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training.
