- Schedule: 4x10
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $2130 to $2330
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring comfort and safety during imaging procedures
- Operate digital X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Verify image quality before submitting studies for radiologist interpretation
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure
- Administer contrast media when required and within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Perform routine equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and imaging department standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely diagnostic services
- Provide excellent patient care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active Michigan Radiologic Technologist License (if required)
- Current ARRT (R) Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Radiology Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience with digital radiography and portable X-ray equipment preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, patient positioning, radiation protection, and imaging protocols
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Commitment to delivering accurate diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care
