Travel Radiology Tech - $2,380 per week in Carbondale, IL

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist, Radiologic Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varies between 7-9, open to 8 or 10 hours Hours per Shift: 8 or 10 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in interventional radiology or cath lab License: Active x-ray license from IEMA Certifications: ARRT Certification in Radiology Must-Have: Experience in interventional radiology or cath lab Description: This is an imaging position and not a registered nurse role. It requires an active x-ray license. Candidates must have experience in either interventional radiology or cath lab. Call requirements are up to 10 days per month when fully staffed, but will currently be 2 days per week. Department specific requirements include no weekend requirements initially, but potential Saturday or Sunday call in the future. The position requires familiarity with EPIC for documentation. The department is installing a new Siemens IR suite. Candidates may assist with general x-ray if there are no interventional radiology procedures being performed. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiographic exams, utilizing PACS and EMR systems, and performing interventional procedures per established protocols. Candidates must maintain appropriate IV and contrast competency. Following established protocols for patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection is crucial. Communicating clearly and effectively with all parties involved in patient care is essential. Additional duties include cleaning and inspecting equipment and stocking imaging rooms. An associate degree is required for this role.
