Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ years License: ARRT (R) required, BLS (AHA) required Certifications: Clienttion Badge required Must-Have: - Diagnostic X-Ray Procedures - Operation of X-Ray Imaging Equipment - Patient Education - Patient Positioning - Patient Immobilization Description: In this position, the Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures to obtain desired results according to physician specifications. This includes transferring patients for examinations and using ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The technologist assists with the x-ray examination process. Essential duties and responsibilities include: - Performing diagnostic X-Ray procedures. - Being responsible for the appropriate operation of all X-Ray imaging and related equipment. - Educating, positioning, immobilizing, and performing X-Ray procedures. - Coordinating X-Ray examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care. - Understanding and correctly following provider imaging orders. - Submitting required images and related clinical information for interpretation. - Appropriately evaluating image quality. - Maintaining open, accurate, and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists and leadership. - Utilizing, charging, and maintaining departmental supplies. - Practicing sterile technique and following infection prevention policies. - Handling multiple tasks/projects and meeting deadlines. - Safely performing X-Ray procedures, including patient transfer. - Preparing and administering contrast according to protocol. - Following Clienttion Safety Measures to ensure safety for patients and staff. - Supervising and evaluating Student Radiographers in the clinical setting. Required skills include: - Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. - Experience with computer usage, including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn relevant applications. Preferred skills: - N/A Clienttion badge requirement: A personal radiation monitoring badge is required for this assignment.
