Jackson HealthPros is excited to add an experienced Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Technologist to our team where you’ll be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible. (Client requires ARRT registration or eligibility.)
  • Licensed by the State of Massachusetts. (Client requires Massachusetts state license.)
  • BLS certification. (Client requires BLS.)
  • Experience performing diagnostic radiography and ultrasound procedures, including positioning, image evaluation for technical quality, and assisting with special procedures such as needle biopsies. (Client requires demonstrated ultrasound and radiography skills.)
  • Ability to obtain and review pertinent patient history and maintain accurate radiology records as required by department policy.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or X-Ray Technologist.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Senior Manager and Chief Technologist, perform radiographic procedures by applying ionizing radiation in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards. Set up equipment and prepare patients for examinations. Select appropriate transducers and frequencies for ultrasound exams. Obtain and review patient history and clinical data to assist physicians in diagnosis. Position patients and use immobilization devices as needed to obtain optimal views. Explain procedures and respond to patient questions to promote cooperation and comfort. Provide for patient safety and psychological needs during ultrasound and radiographic procedures. Requisition supplies and coordinate maintenance and repairs. Evaluate image quality and maintain proper labeling and radiology records. Assist physicians with special procedures, including needle biopsies. Instruct clinical and didactic units within the ultrasound program when required. Maintain knowledge of departmental and hospital policies, including infection control, fire, and disaster plans. Participate in continuing education and professional development. Maintain patient confidentiality and professional relationships. Perform other duties as assigned.
