Able to identify advance anatomy and assist doctors with invasive procedures. Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist. Work side by side with Radiologists as well as other Doctors and Surgeons; and is able to anticipate what the Radiologist may need for each procedure. Understands that the Operating Room takes precedence when a patient is sedated and on the OR table. Must have the ability to take call and respond to work to help our critical patients during off hours.MINIMUM : High school diploma or equivalent required.Graduation from accredited ultrasound program required.CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: A.R.D.M.S certification and New Mexico State license in Ultrasound required. Registration in abdomen and OB/GYN preferred. OB/GYN certification required. BLS certification required.SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of sonographic procedures, equipment, and anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
