General Information
o Beds: 2 general 2 fluoro, 2 ED
o Experience? 1 year
o First-time traveler? Yes, if more than 2 years. Would prefer travel experience though
Patient Types:
o Fluoroscopy, trauma, general, OR, inpatient, outpatient
o Will care for peds (including neonates/NICU) through adult
Average Daily Census:
o Around 100 patients through department
Required Certifications:
o BLS, ARRT, Wisconsin License
Skills required
o Experience with the above patient types; travelers typically do not perform OR or fluoro cases
o Mostly general x-ray: head, neck, spine, extremities, abdomen, hands, feet, chest, etc.
Support on the Unit:
o Manager/Supervisor during the day
o Lead Tech 24/7
o Radiologist on site reading during the day, offsite at night
o Hospitalist
o RT 24/7
o Rapid Response/Code Team
Charting System/Equipment:
o EPIC
o Alaris
o Pyxis
o PACS: McKesson
o Unit equipment: Fuji, Siemens, GE
Floating:
o Portables throughout the facility traveler first
Orientation:
o NEO
o Up to 1 week of unit orientation
Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: dependent on requisition. Could be very weekend depending on need
o Approval of RTO: to go through manager
o Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule?
Yes, varies. Will not take call if working weekends normally.
30-minute response time
o Holiday Expectations: if holiday falls on scheduled shift, will work it
o Scheduling: will typically have a set schedule
