Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Details:
  • Pay Rate = $42/hr, $1246 stipend
  • Shift Type = Day or Nights
  • Assignment Length = 13 Weeks

Description of job:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with radiation safety standards. The X-Ray Technician will work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and quality patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography (R).
  • Active state Radiologic Technologist license
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, and radiation protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and instruct patients for imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists and physicians.
  • Follow all radiation safety standards, including proper shielding and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
  • Verify patient identity and imaging orders before performing procedures.
  • Document patient information, imaging procedures, and technical data accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
  • Ensure imaging rooms and equipment are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control policies, and facility protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
