A Special Procedures Technologist assists physicians in performing advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures, such as angiography and minimally invasive treatments, while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in special procedures like angiography, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization
Prepare and position patients for procedures
Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X-ray, etc.)
Monitor patients’ vital signs during procedures
Maintain sterile technique and assist with surgical instruments
Administer contrast media as directed
Ensure radiation safety and follow infection control protocols
Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
