    Opportunity:

    Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    Job Details:

    • Texas state licensure required: MRT by TMBB• Work 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
    • Shift hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • Must remain past 5:00 PM until all cases are seen and finished for the day
    • Weekend and on-call required, typically every second or third weekend
    • Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures
    • Provide support for other imaging technologists as needed and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow
    • Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required
    • Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and image archiving systems
    • Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS; ability to follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser
    • Observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures and maintain radiation safety protocols while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals
    • Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by license
    • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs of each patient
    • 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required
    • Basic computer experience required
    • Required certifications: Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) by ARRT or NMTCB, BLS (AHA only)
