Opportunity:

RAD Tech Sonographer

Job Details:

• Monday through Thursday schedule
• Day shift staffing includes 4 sonographers plus a supervisor
• Patient ratio of 8 to 10 patients per 8-hour shift
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
• Operate Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10 ultrasound equipment
• Use Allscripts EMR and InteleRad PACS systems
• Perform procedures including thoracenteses, paracenteses, FNAs (thyroids, parotids, lymph nodes), soft tissue mass or lymph node biopsies, liver and renal biopsies, drainages (abscesses, cysts, hematomas, gallbladders), and thrombin injections
• Perform OR procedures including breast needle placements, carotids, D&Cs, and prostate biopsies
• Must have knowledge of anatomy and pathology with ability to recognize normal from abnormal findings
• Must have basic scanning skills with a good understanding of sonographic physics and techniques
• Must have clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography
• At least one year of experience with a wide array of ultrasound exposure required
• Additional certifications preferred: RVT, OB-GYN, AB
• Experience in the OR and with ultrasound procedures preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, RDMS, NH MIRT Licensure (must have NH license certification in hand prior to submission)
• Dress code: Any color professional, clean appearing scrubs or radiology themed t-shirts
• No on-call requirements; call tree implemented for permanent full-time staff for critical staffing needs only
• Weekends covered by weekend position staff
