Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Days | 4x10-hour shifts | 40 hours per week | Onsite | Weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit need
Key Responsibilities- Prepare adult inpatient and outpatient populations for interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures
- Provide intra-procedure monitoring and post-procedure recovery care, including PACU and extended stay (23-hour) observation
- Serve as an essential member of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
- Apply critical thinking and strong communication skills throughout all phases of patient care
- Adhere to infection prevention measures, including wearing facility-issued and laundered scrubs in procedural areas
Required Qualifications- Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience
- Telemetry experience
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced procedural or surgical environment
- Familiarity with PACU and extended observation care settings
