Schedule / Job TypeContract | Rotating Shift (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Onsite | Includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge responsibilities as needed
Key Responsibilities- Provide pre-procedural preparation and post-procedural recovery care for interventional radiology patients across the lifespan, including inpatient and outpatient populations
- Monitor and care for patients in 23-hour and overnight observation settings pre- or post-procedure
- Support patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures including CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound
- Function as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- Apply critical thinking and strong communication skills to assess and respond to patient needs throughout the care continuum
- Float across units and assume charge responsibilities as required by departmental needs
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in Interventional Radiology
- Telemetry experience required
- Active New York State RN license (New York license only accepted)
- BLS certification – American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
Preferred Experience / Skills- Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- GI post-procedural care experience
