Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures under the supervision of IR physicians, including cerebral angiography/intervention and body angiography/intervention, as well as stroke interventions.
- Assist with Y90 treatments, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venous access, and related IR interventions; manage contrast administration and nephrograms as part of procedural workflow.
- Place and manage vascular access devices, ports, dialysis/central lines; participate in image-guided procedures in OR-based IR suites, radiology rooms, and CT/US environments.
- Operate interventional imaging equipment (C-arm, single-plane and multi-plane systems, hybrid room setups) and adhere to sterile technique; monitor patient status during procedures.
- Support post-procedure care, documentation in the electronic charting system, and communication with the IR team, radiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff.
- Maintain awareness of OR-based IR workflows, safety protocols, and patient positioning; contribute to efficient case throughput and accurate procedural coding.
Requirements
- Active Washington state Radiologic Technologist license (WA license)
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years IR/Angio experience
- On-call availability: 5–7 days per month; weekend coverage only when on-call
- EPIC charting experience preferred; ability to work in an OR-based IR service
- Travel-ready; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume IR environment
- Note: Locals are not accepted for this assignment; first-time travelers accepted if they meet experience requirements
