Overview
Interventional Radiology Tech | Radiology Tech with IR focus | Kansas City, KS | Start 08/09/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,836-$3,000 per week | Shift: 4x10 Days | Hospital-based IR department. The assignment supports a fast-paced, high-volume interventional radiology service with multiple operating rooms and a scrub-intensive workflow. Licensure and credentialing details are coordinated post-offer.

- Setting: hospital-based interventional radiology department
- Orientation: 8-hour no-bill orientation; Monday/Tuesday orientation schedule; bi-weekly nursing orientation (Wed–Fri)

Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate interventional radiology equipment and maintain sterile technique during procedures
- Assist radiologists and scrub during IR cases; support catheter and device placement, contrast administration, and imaging controls
- Position patients, monitor vital signs, and observe for post-procedure recovery needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, equipment used, and patient data in the medical record
- Ensure equipment readiness, troubleshoot basic issues, and coordinate with room staffing to manage high case volume
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and radiation safety protocols; participate in unit-wide workflow and communication

Requirements
- Licenses: ARRT Radiography credential and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (can apply upon offer; KS lic pending allowed)
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS (required)
- Experience: minimum 2 years IR experience with scrub experience; 3 years IR and large hospital experience preferred; peripheral and neurovascular experience valued
- Credentials/Timing: ability to obtain or transfer required licenses promptly; orientation requirements completed as scheduled
- Environment: able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume IR setting; may float to other IR areas as needed
- Orientation: completion of required orientation sessions as noted
