Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations, including interventional procedures, using fluoroscopy and a variety of imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
- Position, immobilize, and instruct patients for examinations; support physicians during specialized interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality digital images, documenting procedures and ensuring radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- Monitor patient status during and after procedures, provide clinical care as appropriate, and maintain clear, compliant documentation.
- Mentor and train staff on technical skills; contribute to team knowledge and, where appropriate, provide input on staff development and promotions.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist) and active Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice; Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR from an approved vendor; PVMB/TEAM or CPI or equivalent crisis prevention training; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS).
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or related field preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; three years preferred; experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred.
- Additional requirements: Current BLS certification; ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting; ability to work a night shift and meet assignment scheduling demands.
