Responsibilities
- Perform, assist, and complete Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations, including active interventional procedures in the cardiovascular suite with appropriate equipment.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce digital images, position and instruct patients, and follow protocols to obtain high-quality studies while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures, including guidance during catheterization and related imaging for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
- Manage workflow efficiently, monitor patient status, practice radiation safety principles, and document procedures accurately.
- Mentor and train staff on technical skills; contribute to team development and, when appropriate, participate in hiring and promotion discussions.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: California Radiologic Technologist (RT) license required; ARRT certification preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) competency required; PVMB/TEAM/CPI training required; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; interventional/special procedures technologist experience preferred.
- Other: Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting; eligible for a travel assignment; current state-specific radiologic practice credentialing as applicable.
