Job Summary
Xray Technologist position based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves performing general diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols, and maintaining proper documentation and image quality. The position requires a thorough understanding of radiographic techniques and patient safety practices to support high-quality imaging services within the healthcare organization.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree from an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program, ARRT Certification in Radiography, current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification, valid in North Carolina, with ongoing registry status and continuing education as per certification requirements.

  • Additional Information: Demonstrates proficiency in portable equipment and is capable of troubleshooting work unit issues related to imaging protocols and equipment. Maintains cleanliness and safety in the work environment, verifies patient identity and history, assesses physical condition, and responds to emergency situations to ensure patient safety. Utilizes RIS, HIS, PACS, and SMS systems effectively for documenting and accessing procedure information. Assists in educating patients and colleagues, ensures images are transmitted successfully to PACS, and maintains all equipment properly.
