Job Summary
The OR Radiology Technologist performs radiographic procedures in an operative setting, assisting surgeons and radiologists by providing high-quality imaging while maintaining radiation safety and patient care standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures in the Operating Room setting.
- Operate C-Arm and portable X-ray equipment.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
- Monitor and report adverse reactions to RN/supervisor.
- Obtain high-quality radiographs with minimal radiation exposure.
- Follow radiation protection protocols for patients and staff.
- Verify patient identification and physician orders before procedures.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, radiologists, and OR staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT Certification
- New Jersey State Radiologic License
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- 2+ years OR X-Ray Technologist experience preferred
