Position Overview A regional healthcare organization is seeking a certified Radiologic Technologist for a 90-day onsite contract in Waterloo, Iowa. The role supports a busy diagnostic imaging department serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic exams following established protocols
Operate X-ray and fluoroscopy equipment safely and efficiently
Position patients accurately to produce diagnostic-quality images
Minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff through proper technique
Document procedures and maintain accurate exam records in the RIS/EHR
Coordinate with radiologists and clinical teams for urgent and stat requests
Maintain equipment cleanliness and report technical issues promptly
Requirements
ARRT (R) certification in good standing
Active Iowa radiography license or eligibility
Minimum 1 year clinical radiography experience
BLS certification
Must reside 60+ miles from facility (travel assignment requirement)
Preferred Qualifications
Fluoroscopy experience
Experience in a high-volume or ED imaging environment
Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems
