Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech / X-Ray Tech)
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Valid NJ State RT License
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience working with GE imaging equipment or similar systems
- Comfortable working independently and providing imaging support in the OR
- Strong knowledge of imaging equipment setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Excellent oral and written communication and patient care skills
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging (radiography) in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
- Prepare, operate, and maintain imaging equipment to ensure safe, high-quality images
- Position patients accurately and assess physical/physiological comfort during procedures
- Provide intraoperative imaging support in the OR when required
- Monitor imaging workflow, coordinate daily procedures, and communicate changes with the care team
- Demonstrate initiative, analytical problem-solving, and effective teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
- Adhere to radiation safety principles (ALARA) and hospital safety protocols
- Stay current with advances in diagnostic imaging and healthcare informatics
- Other duties as assigned to support hospital radiology operations
