As an X-ray Technologist here, you will be part of a respected imaging team that supports emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services. In this role, you will perform a full range of routine diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and department protocols. You will be responsible for patient preparation, accurate positioning, operation of X-ray equipment, and ensuring high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists. Strict attention to radiation safety, infection control, and patient privacy is essential. You will also collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other technologists to coordinate care and support efficient patient throughput.
A typical day may include a mix of scheduled outpatient exams, inpatient portable studies, and support for the emergency department. Depending on the specific unit and shift, you may assist with orthopedic, trauma, chest, abdominal, and spine imaging, and may be called upon to support operating room or procedural areas with mobile equipment. Patient volumes and ratios will vary by area and time of day, but the department is designed to ensure you have support from experienced colleagues and clear workflows to safely manage your caseload.
Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, or weekends, with the potential for rotating schedules and on-call coverage depending on departmental needs. The environment is team-oriented and collaborative, with radiologists and leadership who are engaged in quality improvement, image quality, and patient experience. New employees receive orientation and support to become comfortable with workflows, equipment, and electronic systems.

Certifications: CERT-ARRT- R; BLS-AHA
