# Join Our Dynamic CVICU Team – Exciting Opportunity Awaits! ## Job Description - **Unit**: CVICU (650) - **Shifts**: 7 PM to 7 AM, 3 shifts per week, including every other weekend - **Duration**: 6 weeks - **Patient Ratios**: 1:2 or 1:3 (includes inpatient PCU/med surg admissions) - **Number of Beds**: 28 - mixed ICU - **Documentation System**: Meditech ### Key Responsibilities: - Deliver exceptional care to 1-3 ICU patients, including those on ventilators - Conduct bedside shift reports for seamless handoff - Utilize advanced equipment and technology, including: - i-mobile phones for care teams - Mobile computer workstations on wheels ### Required Qualifications: - 36 months RN experience, including 1+ year in ICU - Previous successful travel nursing assignment preferred - Proficiency in telemetry strip reading ### Advanced Skills Needed: - CRRT - Advanced Hemodynamics - Phlebotomy - Ability to administer respiratory treatments outside of the ICU ### Procedures Performed on Unit: - Post-operative day 0 CABG - Impellas and balloon pumps - Swan Ganz and advanced hemodynamics - Neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage - Experience with EVDs, bolts (Codman), and Arctic Sun for induced hypothermia ### Certifications Required: - BLS - ACLS - NIH Stroke Scale ### Preferred Qualifications: - BSN - Advanced Certifications - TNCC certification ### Dress Code: - Navy uniform ### What We Offer: - Willingness to train travelers interested in becoming skilled Neuro or Cardiovascular ICU nurses - Opportunity to care for patients post head and neck flap procedures - Access to one of only 14 specialized programs in the nation --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol)**: At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
