Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian (RD) for an Acute Care setting at North Central Bronx Hospital. The ideal candidate will perform nutritional assessments, develop individualized nutrition care plans, provide patient education, collaborate with physicians on diet modifications, and monitor patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Screen and assess patients' nutritional status.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
- Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data.
- Educate patients and families on nutrition and food-drug interactions.
- Document nutrition education and diet instructions.
- Modify patient menus as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide follow-up nutrition care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Foods & Nutrition from an accredited program.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient Acute Care experience required.
- 3 years of experience preferred.
- Recent inpatient hospital experience required.
