Plans, directs, and coordinates recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities or injuries, or mental illnesses. Provides treatment services and recreational therapy services using a variety techniques, including arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music and community outings.

Day Shift 5 x 8s; 8:30am to 5pm (30 minute lunch). Typically, Monday - Friday with 1 full weekend shift per month. Will consider Tue - Sat. 6 months experience in inpatient psych that includes kids, teens, and adults. Certification in either CTRS, or Drama Therapy (preferred), or certified/registered Music Therapy, of certified/registered Art Therapy, or certified/registered Movement/Dance Therapy, or Yoga Therapy (C-IAYT with a specialization in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, or TCTSY-F). Social worker, LMFT or even an addictions counselor can be a fit.Education and Work Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor?s): RequiredMaster's Degree: PreferredDance and Movement or Art or Drama or Music or Yoga or Recreational Therapy experience: PreferredLicenses/ Council for Therapeutic Recreation (NCTRC) certification: PreferredValid Driver?s License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: RequiredFacility Specific License/ or ARC-BLS: RequiredDepartment Specific License/ for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI): Required
