Position Overview
A Travel Registered Nurse provides temporary nursing services at healthcare facilities across different geographic locations on short-term assignments, typically lasting 8-26 weeks. Travel RNs fill critical staffing needs while gaining diverse clinical experience and exploring new locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care according to established nursing standards and protocols
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient vital signs and document changes in condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families on health conditions and care procedures
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical records
Quickly adapt to new facility systems, policies, and electronic health records
Function independently with minimal orientation time
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in compact state or ability to obtain licensure in assignment states
Previous healthcare experience
Current BLS certification
Clear background check and drug screening
